This research is a part of the Applied Linguistics Program towards a PhD degree in Applied Linguistics at Monash University. In this survey, you will give me some information about you, consent to participate in the interview, and will suggest a time for the interview. During the interview, I seek further information about your Arabic teaching. The interview will take about 45 minutes.

Because you are an Arabic teacher.
Consenting to participate in the project and withdrawing from the research
Participating in this project is voluntary, and you have the right to withdraw from further participation at any stage while being interviewed. In case you decided to withdraw your data from this project, please contact the researcher within one week of the date of the interview. You may also request that specific responses are removed from your data.
Possible benefits and risks to participants
There is no risk or discomfort beyond everyday life in participating in this project, and the finding from this project might help for more effective and improved Arabic teaching.
1. Your data will be kept confidential and will not be accessed by anyone other than Abdulwdood and his supervisors.
2. When reporting the data, pseudonyms will be used for each participant and, so they cannot be identified.
3. Your contact details or any information that may reveal your identity will not be included in any published materials.
Storage of data
No one will have access to this information other than the researcher Abdulwdood Bahhari (email: email@example.com), his supervisors Dr. Louisa Willoughby (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) and Dr. Howard Manns (email: email@example.com).
The data will be safely stored in Abdulwdood’s Monash OneDrive account. After the completion of this project, the data will be secured within Monash University servers for 5 years and will not be accessed by any persons other than the chief investigator, Dr. Louisa Willoughby. If the data is no longer needed, the university will take responsible steps to destroy or premanently de-identify your personal information.
Use of data for other purposes
When consenting on this, there is a question about data re-use. If agree on data re-use, this means that Abdulwdood or his supervisors might use your data for other related research project. For example, linguistic issues in diverse contexts. However, the data will be anonymous – nobody will be named, and you will not be identified in any way. All records of your name and contact details will be destroyed at the end of this project. You can still agree to participate in this project even if you answer ‘NO’ to data re-use.
The findings of this research may be published as a journal article or a conference presentation.
